iOS 7.1 makes the battery drain faster

Most people agree that the latest update to Apple iOS 7 has made everything on the iPhone faster. Unfortunately, this could also include battery discharge.

According to complaints on Twitter and discussion forums of Apple, the new iOS 7.1 software has some battery iPhone owners run out faster. Now, we’re not sure if Twitter complaints are entirely reliable, we do not know which version of any of these people are upgrading.

The site Ars Technica technology ran some tests and found that despite updating iOS 6 to iOS 7 carries a “statistically significant drop in battery life”, updating iOS 7.0 to iOS 7.1 not materially affected iPhone or Using the iPad battery.

That said, these complaints multiply, and Rafe Needleman Yahoo Tech, which updates since iOS 7.06, says his iPhone was rebooting intermittently since the system (a problem that iOS 7.1 was supposed to fix) discharged.
