Google Public Alerts site launched in Mexico
Google launched “Google Public Alerts” in Mexico, available from today, which will allow the system to people in situations of emergency access critical information for the development of a natural disaster.
The company’s Mountain View in a statement that this information will appear on the website Public Alerts, as well as the main search engine inGoogle Maps and Google Now.
In the case of applications for the iOS and Android platforms, a card with information about alerts and even evacuation instructions to people who are in the affected areas will be displayed.
In this regard, the company also unveiled Crisis Map, which will allow third layers add information to the location of shelters, hospitals, evacuation routes, flood zones, faults in the power supply, among others.
He said that such actions were made in collaboration with the Coordination of National Digital Strategy of the Presidency of the Republic, the National Water Commission, the National Center for Disaster Prevention and the Federal Commission of Electricity .
