No more roaming for users of T-Mobile
T-Mobile will begin this month to offer their customers free of charge and data messages “up to a limit of two gigabytes” when traveling to a hundred countries.
The company explained that each year Americans made 55 million international trips, but 40% of its subscribers choose to leave their phones at home to avoid the dreaded extra roaming charges, while the rest has to face high telephone bills.
The new T-Mobile plans to offer free 2G data and messages in 100 destination countries while voice calls cost in any of these countries 20 cents per minute, about 16 euro cents.
