The death of unlimited wireless data is coming
The two major wireless providers in the United States built huge user base of smartphones, to attract customers with unlimited data plans.
The writing was on the wall for years, however, and data usage as mobile exploded, Verizon Wireless and AT & T dumped its unlimited for offering tiered data onslaught users with overages if you use too much data plans in a billing period.
Sprint and T-Mobile unlimited plans still used as a point of differentiation with their larger rivals data, but analysis pointed out as one of this week, the days of unlimited data on the Sprint and T-Mobile are numbered.
To this point, users with unlimited plans have been able to keep them if they are willing to give up certain features and pass new options, cheaper service plans.
This capacity is likely to remain, but companies like AT & T and Verizon are already by strangling holders unlimited data plan once a certain threshold is alcanze, so these plans are now basically “unlimited” in name only.
