Facebook Sued by analyzing private messages
According to a study of a Swiss security company, two Americans filed a lawsuit against Facebook for meddling in the content of your private messages. According to those affected, the firm is known for some of these practices.
Matthew Campbell and Michael Hurley sued in the District Court in North Carolina. The documents show the rape of two privacy laws as the law of private electronic communications and one on the invasion of the privacy of California.
Campbell and Hurley also refer to research by security company Swiss High-Tech Bridge. To this end, the company used a dedicated web server and created a “secret URL” to be used in the 50 most important social networks.
What’s more, in the documentation other resources used by the social network to encrypt user data are also mentioned: social plugins or web crawlers. The plaintiffs demanded payment of $ 100 per day and $ 5,000 or triple for damages.
In all, to date, the social network continues to accumulate complaints and accusations of disgruntled users for misuse that may be made of personal and confidential information.
