Tablets overflow at laptops in 2017

The tech consultancy IDC has made his particular forecast for the next four years for this segment. “2014 is expected to slow growth by 22.2% yoy to 270.5 million units,” say the experts at the firm.

The PC industry is going through its best moments. The decline of personal computers is a fact for months. Now, analysts suggest that although the market for tablets continues to increase sales, has begun to slow. However, the projections are not all bad for the coming years.

“By 2017 the annual market growth will slow to single-digit percentages and shipments will reach its maximum at 386.3 million units compared to the previous forecast of 407 million units.”

IDC also expects that in 2017 Android still dominating the tablet market and increase its difference from iOS, while Windows computers are gaining in popularity. Thus, according to the predictions of the firm, the robot platform have 58.8% market share, the apple will have a 30.6% and the windows will hold 10.2%.
