WhatsApp and bullying, carefully

In several countries, the responsible security authorities have warned of the misuse of new gadgets and communication apps like WhatsApp, Line or Snapchat, considered dangerous to bullying tools.

In recent months, in different cities, have received considerable amount of emails in which situations of harassment and testimonies of victims who have suffered some form of violence in schools, public or private establishments reported.

In Spain, for example, police have warned that these new communication systems immediately move a fight on the playground or classrooms to digital environments. Given this phenomenon schools and parents associations asking for talks on security.

Currently, cyberbullying is the most common tool that encourages group bullying. It manifests with insulting, humiliating and cruel messages, whereupon authorities advise immediately report misuse especially threats.
