Mobile and Universal Charger

In recent weeks, several European institutions are working on creating a universal charger for mobile phones, after having laid the foundation among member countries of the European Union.

The project for the standardization of mobile chargers, advanced with the discussion of a draft of a legislation within Europe unify certain rules concerning radio equipment such as mobile phones or modems.

Among the new requirements for industry and manufacturers would standardize the chargers of mobile phones. Indeed, the market looks natural standardization, so that the manufacturers choose MmicroUSB. However, Apple remains exception.

Policy is expected to be approved in March, with each member state would have a period of two years for transposition. Meanwhile, manufacturers would have a further year for standardization, which would not be a reality until 2017.
